Sean graduated from Queen’s University in 1983,  and returned in 2021 as General Manager of the Arts and Science Undergraduate Society, following a 30 year career in senior sales roles for communication and research software.
He earned a CSL (Certified Sales Leader) designation from the Canadian Professional Sales Association in 2018.
Sean joined Kin Canada in 1984, a third generation of Kin, following in the footsteps of his Grandfather, Trevor Thompson, one of Kin Canada’s Four Founding Members, as well as his Father, Aunts, and Uncles. Sean was awarded a Life Membership in 2002. After twenty years working at the Club level serving his local community, Sean was elected as a Director to Kin Canada’s National Board in 2004 where he served two consecutive terms. He was then elected National Vice President in 2008, National President in 2009, and Past National President in 2010.
Sean also served as the National Service Director for Kin Canada from 2013-2015

Sean was a Charter member of the Kin Canada Foundation in 2005 and has served on the board continuously, other than a two year hiatus when he was National Vice President and National President. He was the Kin Canada Foundation Chair from 2016-2019.
Sean will be stepping down from the Foundation Board in 2021 as he starts his two year term as Governor of Kin Canada-District 6.
