The Hal Rogers Fellow is the highest honour bestowed/conferred by the Kin Canada Foundation.  The prestigious Hal Rogers Fellow (HRF) program recognizes individual Kin, alumni or fellow Canadians who have made a significant contribution to their community, province, or country.

The Hal Rogers Fellow program has three (3) levels of recognition, namely Companion, Officer and Member.

The Companion and Officer levels are awarded through a nomination process put forth by a Club, a District or the Kin Canada Foundation.  The Member level is awarded through either an application or nomination process put forth by the applicant, a Club, a District or the Kin Canada Foundation.  The applying or nominating party is responsible for all costs associated with the recognition.

All recognition shall be presented by a member of the Board of the Kin Canada Foundation or their designate.

Companion and Officer Recognition Levels

Recognition at the Companion and Officer Levels will be determined and approved by the Kin Canada Foundation, based upon the submitted nomination application, as well as the recognition criteria detailed below.  At all times, the Kin Canada Foundation reserves the right to waive certain criteria if the Board feels that an application so warrants.

The minimum cost of nominating an individual for the Companion and Officer recognition levels is one thousand ($1,000.00) dollars.  The nominating party is responsible for the cost.

  • The minimum cost of applying or being nominated for the Member level is one thousand ($1,000.00) dollars. The applying or nominating party is responsible for the cost.
  • The applying party should apply for the Member Level at the time of their first donation to the Hal Rogers Fellow Program. Individuals wishing to accrue this donation over time must make minimum annual donations of at least two hundred ($200.00) dollars in order to be tracked.

Some notable recipients of this prestigious award include entertainer Celine Dion, past Governor General of Canada Michaëlle Jean, hockey legend Wayne Gretzky, football legend Michael “Pinball” Clemons, Rick “Man in Motion” Hansen, and retired General Rick Hillier.
